Hey Vibers! Welcome to this "Meet the team" series where we give you wonderful users an insight into the team at VibePay with a friendly introduction.
My name is Jay Shepherd aka Dad at home to two children and I work for VibePay as a Support Hero (self-proclaimed!) Born in Worcestershire I have spent 90% of my life in London from which I can probably name a pub with solid directions in any area in the city, not sure that is a good thing though?
My Job 👨💻
I have been working for VibePay in a customer support function since January 2020 so around 6 months on the day of writing this and time has flown by!
Working at the front line of the business, my job is to ultimately ensure that our users are listened to and have a voice within the business.
If you have engaged with us in any way be it social media, email or our community forum then you have probably spoken with me already. Parts of my day is taking on board your feedback and suggestions about VibePay and making sure the right person within the business hears them.
Another part of my job is working with users when problems arise, whether its an administration error or the VibePay app is not behaving correctly. VibePay is still in that start-up environment and the constant changes and challenges that arise make this a great job for me and I enjoy the challenges that come with that.
To conclude I would say the time has flown because of the VibePay Community, which are an absolute pleasure to work with, the feedback and suggestions and willingness to work with us when problems arise are a breath of fresh air, so thank you for that!
Challenges and what's next? 😅
At the time of writing this, we are just around the corner from one of our biggest updates to date which is packed with community suggested features and I am sure that we are all super optimistic. With the new features and update looming, I know that we are going to face some bumps and hurdles as we keep progressing the app. And the way we get over those hurdles is by making sure that we are taking onboard your problems and feedback, as always I will personally be readily available for fast responses most days of the week and I will extend those hours during the update period. I am super excited for the next phase of VibePay and working with our users to keep moving forward!
At Home 🏫
As mentioned I have two children at home which keep me pretty busy when I am not working, with the terrible year we have had with the lock-down I have also done my at-home teacher duties, my favourite lessons are spelling and P.E, don't think they feel the same though...
When not on dad duties I like to spend time on my XBOX and fit some hours into playing my favourite games online, I mainly play e-sports games such as Rocket League & SMITE, fancy a game? Get in touch!
